SPED Teacher’s Aide/Paraprofessional – i3 Academy

This position supports students with disabilities in a K-12 school setting in Birmingham, AL, working closely alongside a special education teacher to help deliver individualized instruction and assist with daily classroom routines. You will provide direct support to students across a range of learning needs, helping implement each student's individualized education program under the guidance of a licensed educator. The work involves one-on-one and small-group assistance, behavior support, and helping students navigate transitions throughout the school day. You will collaborate regularly with teachers, therapists, and other school staff as part of a broader support team focused on student growth and inclusion. The rhythm of the role follows the school calendar, with each day bringing a mix of structured instruction and responsive, student-centered support.
