Behavior Technician / RBT / Paraprofessional – ABA & Autism Experience **Salem, NH Area** **Full-Time | 35 Hours/Week** **Immediate Start – December 25, 2026** **$28–40+/hr Based on Experience & Certification** We are hiring an **experienced Paraprofessional, Behavior Technician (BT), or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)** to support students in a school-based setting in the Salem, NH area. The ideal candidate has **strong ABA experience, significant experience working with students with autism, and the ability to confidently implement and run behavioral programs.** This is **not an entry-level behavioral support position**. We are especially interested in candidates who can take ownership of programs, work independently, manage challenging behaviors, and provide strong day-to-day leadership. Pay Rates * **Paraprofessional:** $28–30/hr * **Behavior Technician (BT):** $30–35/hr * **Registered Behavior Technician (RBT):** $33–40/hr * **Exceptional experience:** $40+/hr may be considered Position Details * **Immediate start** * **35 hours per week** * Monday–Friday school schedule * School-based position * Assignment through **November 20, 2026** * Competitive pay based on experience, ABA background, and certification * Work alongside teachers, BCBAs, special education professionals, and other members of the student support team What We're Looking For **Strong ABA and autism experience is the priority.** We are looking for someone who has experience: * Working directly with students with **autism** * Implementing ABA-based interventions and strategies * Running or helping lead **individualized behavioral programs** * Following and implementing behavior intervention plans * Managing challenging behaviors * Collecting and tracking behavioral data * Supporting communication, social, academic, and self-regulation skills * Taking initiative and working independently * Providing leadership and consistency when implementing behavioral programs * Collaborating with BCBAs, teachers, special education staff, and related-service providers **School-based experience is strongly preferred.** Responsibilities * Provide direct behavioral and educational support to students * Implement individualized ABA and behavioral intervention programs * Support students with autism and other developmental or behavioral needs * Take an active role in running and maintaining behavioral programs * Collect accurate behavioral and progress data * Implement behavior intervention plans and established treatment strategies * Help students develop communication, social, academic, and self-regulation skills * Respond appropriately and consistently to challenging behaviors * Communicate observations and student progress to the appropriate team * Collaborate with BCBAs, teachers, administrators, and other school professionals * Maintain consistency across the student's school day * Help create a structured, positive, and supportive learning environment Qualifications **Paraprofessional** * Experience working with students with disabilities, autism, or behavioral needs * ABA experience strongly preferred **Behavior Technician (BT)** * Strong hands-on ABA experience * Significant autism experience * Experience implementing behavioral programs **Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)** * Current RBT certification * Strong ABA and autism experience * Experience implementing individualized programs and collecting behavioral data **RBT certification is not required for every candidate.** Experienced BTs, paraprofessionals, ABA professionals, and other candidates with substantial ABA and autism experience are encouraged to apply.
